Logiscool Romania opens registrations for its summer camps

The summer camps include, starting this year, workshops on artificial intelligence and content creation for Youtube, as digital education alternatives for children and teenagers during the summer holiday

The Logiscool Romania programming school for children aged 7 to 17, opens registrations for its summer camps, with physical or online presence, where students can learn to code for games or applications, create content for Youtube, develop their own website or explore the virtual universe of the most popular computer games.

The summer programming and robotics camps, which take place both online and in Logiscool centres across the country, are now in their third year and so far over 5,000 children have attended. Nationwide, 88% of the registered attendees for this summer opted for the camps with physical attendance at Logiscool locations.

Children who want a fun and educational alternative to summer holiday activities can attend the Logiscool camps until the beginning of September.

Workshops based on children’s digital education interests and needs

This year’s list of programmes includes workshops specially designed to keep up with the young people’s interests, but also with the evolution of technology. So children interested in developing their digital skills in a fun way over the summer holiday can opt, in addition to programming and robotics camps, for workshops such as Youtube Studio, where children can learn video production and online content creation, RPG Game Creator, where they can learn to develop games or applications, and Artificial Intelligence, where they can discover how robots work and whether or not the ones seen in movies are real.

This year’s edition also includes children from the communities supported by the eMAG Foundation, registered to facilitate their access to digital knowledge. Logiscool camps are suitable to support students from different communities in this way or, within companies, can be an alternative bonus for employees, offering their children a participation in the camp.

“Urban summer camps were created in response to the need for children to use their free time for new, fun and useful activities. Most of them spend a lot of time in front of the computer, and through these workshops, they also have the opportunity to learn new things in a relaxed and fun way. The curiosity of the participants so far has inspired us to expand the range of workshops. Thus, Minecraft Mars, Youtube Studio or Artificial Intelligence were created and have been highly successful”, says Indira Abdulvoap, General Manager Logiscool Romania.

The programme of activities is adaptable according to module or availability

Children curious about the technologies of the future can participate in one-week camps from Monday to Friday, with 3.5 hours of lessons per day, or two-week camps with 1.5 hours per day. Prices range from 580 to 630 lei for online camps and 630 lei for half-day on-site camps. Full-day camps provide participants with access to courses and additional fun activities.

“We are pleased that most of the children choose multi-week camps, which we feel is useful and fun for them. We are also seeing a greater openness on the part of parents to enrol their children in such activities, which are seen as educational alternatives to their children’s free time”, adds Indira Abdulvoap.

The Logiscool camps that have so far attracted the most participants nationwide are LEGO WeDo, Roblox, Minecraft Mars Mission, LEGO EV3, Minecraft Classic.

For this year’s edition, Logiscool has prepared a special camp, which will be held in physical format, at Cheile Grădiștei, in Fundata, Brasov county, during three weeks in August. Participants will enjoy the presence of well-known vloggers as follows: Best Noris will be present at the Minecraft Mars camp on August 8-13, as well as at the Roblox camp on August 15-20. For the third one, Youtube Studio, on 22-27 August, special guest will be Maxșialtele. Only a few places at Youtube Studio camp are still available at the moment, a press release issued by the Logischool Romania informs.
