Dan Vilceanu, Prime Minister Florin Citu’s proposal for the office of Minister of Finance

The Liberal MP Dan Vilceanu is the proposal of Prime Minister Florin Citu for the position of Finance Minister, the PM announced on Saturday in a press conference held at Victoria Palace.

The head of the Executive announced that he will request the National Liberal Party (PNL) chair, Ludovic Orban, to convene the National Political Bureau for the future nomination for the Ministry of Public Finance.

“I will ask the President (of PNL ) to convene the National Political Bureau. I have a proposal. I saw that he has already made some proposals in the public space. I also have a proposal – my proposal is Dan Vîlceanu for the Ministry Public Finance “, declared the Prime Minister Florin Citu.

Currently, Florin Citu serves as  interim Minister of Finance after he dismissed Alexandru Nazare last month.

According to the CV posted on the website of the Chamber of Deputies, Dan Vilceanu is an economist, with a PhD degree obtained in 2016, at the West University of Timisoara.
