Jonas Denzel with his interactive work “Beatlights” wins the international video mapping competition iMapp Bucharest 2021

At the end of the international video mapping competition iMapp Bucharest2021, the jury consisting of renowned representatives of the audiovisual industry decided the winner: Jonas Denzel (Germany), who presented the interactive work “Beatlights”.

A director and visual artist, creator of lighting installations, video mapping and documentary film, Jonas Denzel is the winner of the latest edition of the Genius Loci Weimar festival in Germany. He is known in many cities in Germany and the United States for his projects for public spaces. At this year’s edition of iMapp Bucharest, six international teams, awarded at renowned festivals in Germany, Japan, the United States, Ukraine, Hungary and Romania, competed for the title .Their works were projected on the facade of the Palace of the Parliament having 23,000 sqm.

The theme of this year’s edition of iMapp Bucharest  was “The Show Must Go On” and celebrated through works that blend light, technology and music, the way in which people have been returning to normal life.
