Vodafone Supernet Fiber ensures the best fixed internet user experience in Romania

Vodafone Supernet Fiber receives certification for the best fixed internet user experience in Romania based on the overall score obtained by the evaluation of the independent German auditor umlaut, which took into account over five million internet traffic samples collected between March and August 2021. This is the first certification offered by the German auditor umlaut to a fixed internet network operator in Romania.

Supernet Fiber obtained a total score of 866 points out of maximum 1,000 potential points, over 24 points above the next ranking operator and 239 points the one ranked last, being rated by umlaut as ensuring the best average download data speed and notable performance in upload speed (certification – link).

„We invest in Vodafone’s Supernet Fiber network both in its expansion, especially to the most isolated areas without any access to telecommunication services, and in improving the quality of the fixed internet services to ensure the best user experience of the fixed internet both at home and at the office. When our teams’ effort is recognized by the tests and certifications obtained, but also by the feedback received from our customers, we are even more motivated to go further. Digitization begins with reliable telecommunications networks, extended to the most remote or isolated areas of the country, able to support everyone’s access to services, education, health, and entertainment. We thus remain consistent to our commitment to ensure equal access to a digital future for all citizens by investing in Vodafone networks to provide the best services and coverage where it is most needed”, said Cătălin Buliga, Chief Network Officer Vodafone Romania and Head of Networks Development for Europe Cluster Markets.

Vodafone’s Supernet Fiber offers internet speeds of up to 1Gbps, a stable connection and a great Wi-Fi experience via the Super Wi-Fi router. Currently, Vodafone Supernet Fiber network covers over 3.3 million households in rural and urban areas.

Seven certifications for Vodafone mobile networks as well

Recently, Vodafone’s 5G network was confirmed by the same German auditor umlaut as the most reliable 5G network in Romania, also obtaining the highest score in terms of performance of the mobile data services. The recognition comes three years after its launch, being the first 5G network available in Romania. At the same time, this is the seventh recognition for Vodafone’s Romania mobile network following the comparative measurement campaigns carried out by umlaut and which targeted all mobile networks in Romania.
