Ograda Verde, a microfarm that sells online chicken, turkey and other products from 100% naturally fed animals, is expanding, starting this month, its delivery area to all Romania, for the entire product portfolio. The microfarm established in 2012 has so far covered the areas of Bucharest – Ilfov, Breaza, Ploiești and Brașov. With this expansion of delivery, it covers all counties. The turnover registered by OgradaVerde.ro was 250,000 euros in the first 9 months of 2021.
Ograda Verde customers have at their disposal for online order both the products from their own portfolio – chicken, turkey and dervish products – and over 250 products sold from partners, local producers who use 100% natural ingredients and raw materials. They are delivered with refrigerated transport, thus ensuring the freshness of the products regardless of the destination.
Refrigerated delivery, all over the country
The expansion to nationwide delivery came as a result of increasingly active customer requests. It is a natural step in the development of the microfarm. We wanted to take this step earlier, but we first needed to ensure the infrastructure, so as to keep our promise to deliver fresh meat, in safe conditions, explained Victor Cămărășoiu, the founder of Ograda Verde
Currently, the average basket includes 7 products, with a total value of 340 lei. Most wanted products include chicken parts, followed by the turkey and dairy products.
30% of the existing customers order at least twice a month, the main recurring argument being the high quality of poultry, due to the slow growing process and their 100% natural food. Estimates show that the degree of recurrence at the national level will be at a similar level.
Results at 9 months: 20% increase over the pandemic
Ograda Verde ended the first 9 months of this year with a turnover of 250,000 euros, with an increase of 20% compared to previous year. By the end of the year, the microfarm estimates that the growth will remain at 20% compared to 2020. The main drivers supporting this dynamics are the diversification of the product portfolio and the expansion of the delivery area.
Our customers are people concerned with a healthy lifestyle, who prefer food purchases from safe sources. The special features of our products have an almost immediate impact on culinary preferences. According to current estimates, deliveries in the country will reach over 40% of the total in a maximum of 2 years.

Ograda Verde is a micro-farm founded in 2012 by Victor Cămărășoiu, after an initial investment of 50,000 euros. The concept behind the business is based on promoting the farm to fork strategy, with a short food chain and a clear traceability of products. Thus, the birds from Ograda Verde are raised freely, with 100% natural food and a slow growth rate. The slaughter center is authorized by the sanitary-veterinary department, and the transport to the client is done with refrigerated machines at a controlled temperature, within 24 hours from the slaughter.
