OTP Group awarded within Global Finance: Best SME Bank Award 2022

OTP Bank Group won two prizes within this year’s edition of Global Finance competition: „Best SME Bank in CEE” and „Best SME Bank in Hungary”. The competition honors those financial institutions that provide the most value for their micro, small and medium sized business clients, especially considering their critical role in COVID-19 context.

“Small & medium enterprises (SMEs) were hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic, and will play a critical role in any country’s recovery,” said Joseph Giarraputo, Global Finance’s publisher and editorial director.Global Finance has launched its new SME Bank Awards Program in recognition of this fact. It is a unique and important time to give the financial institutions that best serve SMEs the opportunity to be honored for the services and support they provide.”

 The editors of Global Finance selected the winners for the 2022 Best SME Bank Awards based on entries submitted by banks and independent research, with input from industry insiders, executives, and technology experts. Global Finance used a proprietary algorithm with criteria—such as knowledge of SME markets and needs, breadth of products and services, market standing, and innovation.

This year’s ratings are based on performance from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. The winners are those banks that best meet the specialized needs of SMEs in their markets.

Having 35-year history, Global Finance’s awards are the trusted standard of excellence for banks and corporate partners.
