PM Ciuca: We hope to have Law on COVID certificate adopted by the end of the year

PM Nicolae Ciuca said that the Law on the COVID certificate was going to be adopted by the end of the year, in a form agreed with specialists in the area.

“There has been a discussion and a request of the denominations representatives for the citizens to be able to benefit from this freedom of participating in religious ceremonies without having a green certificate. At the current moment, there is a draft under debate, discussed with each of the specialists and we hope that in a reasonable time we reach a conclusion, go to Parliament and by the end of the year we can have this COVID certificate law, which, I repeat, will reflect real parameters in respect to illness incidence and also people having cured from the disease, people benefiting from tests. It is a matter that is going to be debated and completed with those who are entitled and have the required knowledge to do so,” Nicolae Ciuca said on Thursday, after the meeting with the representatives of religious denominations of Romania, asked about the compulsoriness of the green certificate in worship places.

The PM explained that the meeting with the denominations representatives is a modality of dialogue which the decision-making factors have proposed to have in order to find the best solutions for Romanians.

I have asked support from denominations to save lives; vaccination – a solution, behaviour – another

Vaccination against COVID represents a solution and the second, complementary one, is behaviour, PM Nicolae Ciuca said on Thursday, after talks with denominations representatives, during which he asked for their support to be able to save as many lives as possible.

“Mr Minister Rafila has had a very good message and the Government endorses this message. We have asked support from denominations to be able to save as many lives as possible, and it has been debated if vaccination is the only solution the answer was also very clear and firm. Vaccination is a solution, the second one, complementary to vaccination, is behaviour, and by behaviour we understand respect for self, for the community, for everything it means the desire to save lives,” the PM said, according to Agerpres.
