The government will approve in Wednesday’s meeting a package of social measures for the benefit of children, pensioners and people with disabilities, establishing, among other things, the 10-percent increase of the pension point, as of January next year, from 1,442 lei to 1,586 lei, said Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca.
“We approve in today’s Government meeting a package of social measures for the benefit of children, pensioners and people with disabilities, as we have assumed through the government program. We set the increase of the pension point by 10 percent, starting with January next year, from 1,442 lei, as it is at present, to 1,586 lei. We also decide to increase the social allowance for pensioners by 25 percent, from 800 lei, to 1,000 lei, starting with 2022. We are also increasing the state allowance for children and we are instituting the granting, next year, of an additional allowance for the disabled persons, namely the 13th allowance,” declared Nicolae Ciuca, on Wednesday, at the beginning of the Government meeting.
