Sodexo BRS Romania has intensified its efforts to support families in vulnerable situations during the winter holidays. Thus, the company resumed two of its projects that have become traditional, Servathon and Soulful Gifts, through a donation of 35,000 RON.
Through the Servathon campaign, Sodexo has donated food and essential products to people in need. This year the campaign is carried out in partnership with the Magic Association and consists in offering 66 MagicBOX packages totaling 20,000 RON to families with children undergoing cancer treatment across the country.
The packages are delivered by the Magic Association and contain food, clothing, footwear, personal care products, supplies, toys or products that meet immediate needs, to improve the material situation of the families during treatment.
“This is the time when the magic happens, the time when we are all looking forward to the long-awaited presents. It is all the more difficult, for the families with a modest income and for the families with children who are suffering, to look forward to the end of the year with joy and optimism. It is why we have been thinking about the people who are in such sensitive situations, who need support and help now, more than ever. We have joined our efforts, with love, to show them that we care and that we stand by their side. We are glad that, every year, more and more volunteers are joining us, Sodexo employees, who are involved in CSR actions “, said Felicia Georgescu, HR and CSR Director of Sodexo BRS Romania.
In addition to the company’s traditional CSR actions, this year Sodexo employees mobilized to prepare Soulful Gifts for 40 disadvantaged children, included in the programs run by the “Touched Romania” Association and the “New Odyssey” Day Center. The letters sent by the children to Santa Claus facilitated the personalization of the gifts, which were adjusted to their needs and age: toys for cognitive-sensory and auditory stimulation, games, and toys for speech therapy and socialization.
Sodexo BRS Romania has also offered a donation of 15,000 RON to support educational programs for children with autism and ASD, within the “New Odyssey” Day Center.
