International law firm CMS is pleased to announce that Edwina Udrescu (Senior Associate), Tania Baturi (Associate) and Stefan Mitru (Tax Consultant) will join the Energy Projects and Construction (EPC), Real Estate and Tax departments of the CMS Romania office.

“Due to increasing levels of activity over the last 12 months, CMS continues to experience promising growth and, as a result, we are delighted to welcome Edwina, Tania and Stefan to the firm. The Romanian market remains resilient, as demonstrated by the findings in our Emerging Europe M&A 2021/2022 Report published in January, with investors continuing to express a keen interest in key industries such as TMT, energy, real estate and manufacturing. In Bucharest, we have seen a strong start of the year and our teams are involved in numerous projects and transactions in the energy sector, with a focus on renewables, as well as across the firm’s other core sectors,” comments Horea Popescu (photo), Managing Partner of CMS Romania and Head of the CEE Corporate M&A Practice at CMS.

Edwina graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, subsequently achieving a master’s degree in construction law and dispute resolution from King’s College London. Edwina is also an arbitrator on the List of Arbitrators from the Court of International Commercial Arbitration Bucharest and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
