Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca had a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, during which the two senior officials stressed the need to provide support to Ukrainian refugees, and the need to coordinate efforts at international level.
According to a government release, on this occasion, the situation in Ukraine was analyzed, following the Russian military aggression.
“During their conversation, the measures taken at NATO level to strengthen the Eastern Flank of the North Atlantic Alliance were assessed. The Romanian prime minister sent his Canadian counterpart thanks for the missions of defending Romania’s air space carried out by the Canadian air aviation, under the aegis of NATO,” the release reads.
At the same time, the important role of the Romanian community in the Canadian diaspora was highlighted, by both parties, as being of nature to contribute to the strengthening of the relations between the two countries, Agerpres informs.
