Farmec donates 60,000 personal hygiene products through the “Farmec din inimă pentru cei de alături” campaign

5% of the revenues of the physical and online brand stores registered between March 15th  and April 15th will be directed to the Romanian Red Cross

Farmec, one of the largest Romanian companies, launches the CSR platform “Farmec din inimă pentru cei de alături”, through which it will implement long-term actions to support Ukrainian refugees in Romania. The program will engage both non-profit partner associations and consumers.

Farmec donates 60,000 hygiene products, such as shower gels, shampoos, soaps, toothpaste, baby creams, deodorants, and disinfectants to Ukrainian refugee centers in Romania, but also to organizations providing humanitarian aid in Ukraine. The first products have already been distributed, with the help of the associations Fundația FARA, SOS Satele Copiilor, Yuppi Camp, Asociația Umanitară Concordia, and Fundația Serafim. In addition, 5% of the revenues registered between March 15th and April 15th on the company’s own channels, respectively in the Farmec and Gerovital stores and through the e-commerce platform, will be donated to the cause of Ukrainian citizens, through a partnership with the Romanian Red Cross.

Farmec launches the call for solidarity to the brand stores’ consumers, encouraging blood donation, a stringent and permanent need both in our country and in Ukraine. Thus, the company rewards every blood donation, regardless of its destination, with a voucher worth 30 lei in all 30 brand stores accross the country, offered based on the proof of donation, in March and April.

“Social involvement is part of Farmec’s core values. We have always tried to help where we have identified the greatest need and where we have been able to contribute effectively with our resources. We also believe that we have an important mission in the humanitarian crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine, which affects us all at all levels. Thus, we designed this long-term CSR platform, through which we not only contribute with material resources to improve the situation of those directly affected, but also encourage the active involvement of the people, rewarding them in our stores”, said Liliana Popa, PR Manager Farmec.
