The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Romania is excited to announce that the K-Lovers Festival, which has reached its 7th edition, will return as an in-person event, aiming to bring the culture and traditions of the Republic of Korea closer to the Romanian audience. The Embassy, together with the Romanian-Korean Studies Center (CSRK) of the Romanian-American University, invites you all to enjoy some taste of Korea and its culture!
The Festival will be held from May 12 to May 14 and promises to feature live performances, food and traditional Korean games, as well as workshop activities and a parade of traditional Korean attire (hanbok) in Bucharest, at the Romanian-American University.
For this year’s opening of the Festival, His Excellency, Mr. Rim Kap-Soo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Romania, will deliver a lecture in English on the current regional situation and implications for the Northeast Asia, on Thursday, May 12. The series of events will continue with a variety of classes and workshops, ranging from music, cuisine, painting, games and art. For details, please refer to the schedule below.
The closing of our Festival is marked by the Korea Corner Gala at 18:00, Aula Magna of the University, which also celebrates the 1-year anniversary of the Korea Corner project. The Gala will include several awards ceremonies for the best performing students of the Romanian-Korean Studies Centre and promises an unforgettable show featuring traditional Korean music and modern works, together with our long-standing K-lovers in Romania.
Access is free of charge for the entire Festival, based on a prior registration via the on-line form available on the links below, for certain workshops. Please kindly note the Facebook event page for further information.
