Awarding the “Country Brand Ambassador” distinction to Argentine artists Analía Selis and Mariano Castro together with the celebration of the Malbec World Day in the Argentine Residence in Bucharest

Huge success of the 12th Malbec World Day celebrated in the Argentine Residence on May 19th!

Being the first large-scale event organized since the pandemic curtailed all activities in this regard three years ago, the 200 guests that participated to this refined wine tasting, such as important journalists and HORECA representatives, as well as Diplomatic Corps accredited to Romania, famous artists and businessmen, enjoyed every single glass of the 14 labels of Malbec offered by VINEXPERT (with Selentein and Baron Edmond de Rothschild brands), VINIMONDO IMPORT (with Catena Zapata and La Posta brands), CUVEEO FOOD & BEVERAGE (with Séptima brand) and ALEXANDRION (with Trapiche) and Jasmine Monet (with his organic sparkling wines from Argentina). All of these wine sellers which distribute Argentine wine in Romania came accompanied by their own sommelier who presented to the high audience the variety of their Malbec.

Argentinean cuisine has also gifted the world some of its most iconic dishes, notably its celebrated red meat. And the event celebrating Malbec Word Day on 19th of May proved that nothing complements the Argentine beef better than a glass or two of Argentina’s celebrated Malbec wine.

Iconic products are a major part of any country’s branding. But even more than that, a country’s position in the international arena depends on its people, and the gifts they share with the world.

That is the reason why the Country Brand distinction is how Argentina seeks to highlight its traditions, culture, and products, among other output, on the global stage. And with pride that for the first time in Romania, the Embassy of Argentina had the honor to award the distinction of “Country Brand Ambassador” given by the Argentinean Country Brand Interministerial Committee to the most famous Argentine artists living in Romania: the singer Analía Selis and the pianist Mariano Castro who have played an important role in building our national identity abroad through their impressive talents.
