Speaker Ciolacu reiterates to President Sandu Romania’s commitment to advocate Moldova’s EU integration

Today, I reiterated to President Maia Sandu Romania’s commitment to support the process of Moldova’s integration into the EU and the rapid obtaining of the status of candidate country. Romania is more than ever close to the Republic of Moldova in the current tense security context, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, wrote on Twitter.

After the meeting with Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, Marcel Ciolacu said that Romania “firmly” supports the expansion of the EU’s financial assistance for the Republic of Moldova.

“Thorough discussions to identify common solutions with Natalia Gavrilita. Romania strongly supports the expansion of EU financial assistance to the Republic of Moldova. The Romanian Parliament supports the speedy analysis of the financing requests received from the authorities in Chisinau,” Ciolacu said in another message published on Twitter.
