DNA opens corruption case in connection with rehabilitation of collapsed bridge in Neamt County

The National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) – Bacau Territorial Service has opened a criminal case for corruption in connection with the circumstances in which it was rehabilitated, modernized and consolidated, as well as the circumstances in which the road traffic was reopened on the collapsed bridge from Lutca, eastern Neamt County.

“In response to the requests made by media representatives, the Information and Public Relations Office is entitled to transmit the following: At the Bacau Territorial Service – National Anti-corruption Directorate, a criminal case was registered on 09.06.2022 regarding the circumstances in which it was rehabilitated, modernized and consolidated, as well as the circumstances in which the road traffic was reopened on the bridge from Lutca, Neamt County, over the Siret River. At this moment, only the criminal prosecution in rem (against the deed) was started, regarding the suspicion of committing crimes assimilated to those of corruption,” the DNA said in a press release.
