One third of flights from Otopeni register delays last week

A number of 731 flights from the Otopeni Airport had delays of more than 30 minutes last week, out of a total of 2,323 flights, according to a press release of the Bucharest National Airports Company, sent to AGERPRES on Thursday.

However, the number of delayed flights was 24pct lower than in the previous week.

The number of delays generally corresponds to the airlines’ market share on AIHCB (the Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport), so that most were registered with Wizzair (176 flights), TAROM (142 flights), Ryanair (125) and Blue Air (94 flights).

Between July 7-13, 2022, only 18 flights were canceled by the airlines, compared to 56 in the previous week.

In total, between July 7 and 13, 2,323 flights were operated on AIHCB.
