Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca discussed with a delegation of the Fondul Proprietatea (FP), at Victoria Palace, on Monday, about the evolution of investments managed by FP, as well as presenting the stage of preparation for listing shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), which this fund holds in Hidroelectrica and Salrom, according to a Government press release.
“The listing of the two companies on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, supported by the Romanian Government, is part of the vision implemented at the Executive level for improving governance and transparency of the companies it owns. This approach will contribute to the development of the local capital market, which has a fundamental role in the development of Romanian companies and their access to financing that can boost their investments. Investment consolidation will strengthen the economy,” the PM declared, as quoted in the press release.
According to the source, the successful completion of the listing of a substantial package of Hidroelectrica shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange will allow Romania to fulfill the objective established within Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), at the end of the first semester of next year.
